It's about a boy who wins a golden ticket and goes to the "magical" world of the chocolate factory. (Unlike the Tim burtin one, but that's for another post) I love the story of Alice in wonderland and I think it can be entertaining to watch.Ĭharlie and the chocolate factory takes the whimsicality of Alice in wonderland and puts a fresh new twist in it. However, the concept of the story is really unique and there are a lot of possibilities and opportunities for future remakes. The movie can get a bit boring for some people at parts. While I do appreciate where the movie is coming from, the movie could've been a lot better at storytelling and pacing. I gave this movie more than it deserves because I'm such a fan of the concept. Personal score is how much I personally enjoyed the movie and many other reasons. Overall score equals how much I think the movie deserves and based on my points above My favorites are mostly from wonderland themselves such as the mad hatter and Cheshire Cat. I do truly love these characters, not just because of what they are, but how they presented themselves. She doesn't really have much of a personality and can be a very boring character which is surprising because she is the main character. She's not a bad character, but out of all the characters, she is the most confusing and frustrating. The one complaint I do have is with the character Alice. This is one of those rare movies where even if it does not have any development, it is still entertaining to watch. Despite this, they are a pleasure to see. If you are looking for character development, then you really won't find any in this movie. The characters of Alice in wonderland themselves are all very interesting and unique. The characters of Alice in wonderland are all a pleasure to listen to.
